Donations Under The Tree

For our first Christmas at AdelaideVet Goodwood Road and Doggy Daycare, we wanted to do something special. After putting our heads together, we decided on Donations Under the Tree. So we picked a deserving charity and reached out to all of the generous and caring clients of AdelaideVet Goodwood Rd. This year, we could think of no one more deserving than the Animal Welfare League (AWL).

The Animal Welfare League of South Australia has been creating happy homes for more than 50 years by bringing together lost and abandoned pets and caring humans who can give them the love they need. Last year, they found good homes for 3,986 stray and abandoned animals, including pets whose owners can no longer care for them. They also reunited 1,388 lost dogs and cats with their human family. They provide temporary shelter through their foster care program and support thousands of responsible owners through pet boarding and dog training courses. And for those grieving the loss of a faithful companion, their cremation and memorial team offers ways to say goodbye and celebrate the joy your pet brought to your lives. They receive no government funding. When you foster or adopt a pet, shop at their thrift stores, leave a gift in your Will, make a tax-deductible donation or give your time or money in another way, you make their work possible. With the generous support of their volunteers, donors and the wider public, AWL can continue bringing people and pets together for the wellbeing of our community for years to come.


AdelaideVet Goodwood Road & Doggy Daycare wanted to get involved with this amazing charity and do our bit for the all the animals that desperately need help. Our amazing clients did not disappoint. We had a large number of donations. We received food, beds, blankets, towels, toys collars, leads and enrichment toys, all of which will help these animals in their care.

Our Doggy Daycare Coordinator, Emma travelled to AWL Wingfield and had a tour of their new facility. Having previously worked at AWL, Emma understands the importance of donations to the organisation. Everything helps, no matter how small. 

At Adelaide Vet Goodwood, we believe that every animal deserves to be cared and loved and we are passionate to support charities that do that.

So we say a massive thank you to our amazing AdelaideVet Goodwood family for once again showing compassion for animals that bring so much joy into our lives, it is greatly appreciated.
