“Pet food industry in trouble”, a story recently aired on ABC’s, The 7.30 Report highlighted cases of poisoning associated with contaminated imported pet foods. Further to this we would like to clarify that Advance pet food products made by MARS Petcare, the food we recommend and supply for pets, does not contain meat ingredients from China or Ireland.
In a statement, Shane Walsh from MARS Petcare confirmed “”With regards to consumer concerns regarding the origin of the meats used in ADVANCE pet food, we can advise that MARS Petcare do not import any meat from China, nor do we irradiate any of our raw materials or finished products. Our canned food range is made in Wodonga, Victoria and our dry range in Bathurst NSW.”
