Adelaide Vet has offered free nail clipping to our clients for many years, and we’ve been proud to provide this service free of charge to help make it easier for you to care for your pets.

As you may have heard in the media and from our recent communications, COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the veterinary industry. Throughout the last 18 months, veterinary clinics (including Adelaide Vet) have seen unprecedented demand as people spend more time with their pets and acquire new puppies and kittens in record numbers. In addition, ongoing travel restrictions of both international and interstate veterinarians, who have historically helped support our teams, has compounded the impact across the industry.

As a result of these staffing challenges, many of you know we have had to temporarily close some of our clinics on weekends to maintain our regular high standards of care across our Adelaide Vet hospitals. We are also experiencing longer lead times for routine appointments such as vaccinations, nail clips and more.

To prioritise care across our clinics and ensure our team are available to care for your pets when you need to see us, we are no longer offering nail clipping as a free service. Nail clipping will remain an available service for a fee of $18 (where sedation is not required), effective 2nd August 2021.

Nail clipping will remain an included benefit for Total Wellness Plan members at no additional charge. You can join today to start enjoying all the benefits of the Total Wellness Plan straight away. Find out more here.

At Adelaide Vet, our goal is to provide you with high-quality veterinary care and excellent service when you and your pets need us. Our network of hospitals across Adelaide, extended trading hours and industry-leading Total Wellness Plan continue to be available to help you provide the care you want for your special companions.

We thank you for your understanding of these changes and look forward to seeing you at your next visit to Adelaide Vet.
