April has been drawn to animal care since a very young age, they rescued their first stray animal when they were 8 years old and also nursed their first juvenile bird into adulthood at 11 years old. April has always been surrounded by small animals and couldn’t imagine being without their furry friends both at work and at home.
April completed their Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TafeSA in 2017 and began working at AdelaideVet in 2018. April is currently studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in Animal behaviour, intending to someday be a Behaviour Technician while also utilising some of their time in conservation and research of native animal behaviour. They are also extremely passionate about Fear Free veterinary care and counter conditioning so that dogs can have a positive experience at AdelaideVet.
Aprils house is ruled by 7 adopted babies; their two dogs Lola and Freddie, and their 5 cats, Milhouse Van Meowten, Bob, Indi, Bainy and Randall.
April loves working with AdelaideVet and they love seeing all the pets! If they haven’t met you already, they can’t wait to!
